
The MUPA Executive Committee (EC) is the representative body of MUPA and acts in the capacity of a governing body. The MUPA EC is responsible for the management of MUPA and meets every month to make decisions on how the MUPA operates, how graduate student funds are spent and how to improve the overall Monash University Malaysia graduate student experience.

“I’m Sagnik Nag, a PhD candidate at JCSMHS, diving into the world of Cancer Therapeutics and Nanomedicine—basically, I’m working on smarter ways to take down cancer using cutting-edge science. As MUPA President, I’m here to bring fresh ideas, connect people, and make postgrad life less about stress and more about good vibes. MUPA this year is all about creating a space where we can thrive, support each other, and actually enjoy the ride. Responsibilities
- Official spokesperson of MUPA
- Day-to-day management of the MUPA Executive Committee (EC)
- Raise/follow up issues pertaining to Postgraduate students welfare to the right authorities
- Advocate for the collective interests of Postgraduate students
- Hear grievances, complaints or suggestions to do with any aspect of the workings of MUPA from any Postgraduate student or any member of the MUPA EC, and to ensure that appropriate action is taken

- Organize seminars for education, research and career development of the Postgraduate student community
- Organise forums for discussion of issues related to Postgraduate student welfare

- Promote all activities and events sponsored, provided, or endorsed by or through the MUPA EC
- Manage the marketing and publicity announcements
- Officially promote the MUPA Elections, Extraordinary General Meetings and referenda in accordance with the regulations

- Represent MUPA in any school-based committees to discuss and highlight any relevant and key issues concerning the welfare and experience of Postgraduate students
